Debi Dumas

Celebrity colorist Debi Dumas has built a name for herself as a leading color expert in the Los Angeles area.  Having worked and traveled throughout the world, Dumas finds inspiration and excitement in all that surrounds her: the latest fashion trends, fabrics, the hair on children, nature, colors from her favorite places around the globe such as Paris, Sao Paulo, Boston and Costa Rica.

After studying at the Vidal Sassoon Academy, Dumas has taken the charge of developing her "bi-lighting" or "tri-lighting"- multilayered, multi-dimensional technique.  She says that “in nature, everything we see is a mixture of more than one tone, so I try to recreate this in the colors that I put in hair.”  Her obvious skill has led to her being named the Top LA colorist by Allure, leading the color department at the Jim Wayne Salon in Los Angeles and advanced color training thru Redken, Goldwell, Wella and L'Oreal. 

In addition to her work in the salon and as an expert educator, Dumas has worked with such celebrities as Chelsea Handler, Ali Landry and Candace Cameron Bure as well as for such publications as Shape, Allure, Playboy and Rolling Stone.

Dumas currently resides in Los Angeles and works bi-coastally.
