BIO Even as a rebellious punk rocker obsessed with fashion, Manuella was a determined young woman. With major aspirations to move to New York and become a hair stylist in the fashion industry, she took a leap of faith to follow her heart's desire and pursued her dreams. While booking months in advance in salons, she was also an educator for Paul Mitchell and Aveda. In this whirlwind of success in gaining experience and sharing knowledge, Manuella also managed to compile strong NY fashion editorial along the way. At age 27, she built an impressive book, bought a house, developed a strong client base, and was immersed in many commitments with hair companies - until she left it all behind to follow her destiny and go on the road with Britney Spears.

After her stint with Britney, Manuella took some time off to refresh, soul search, and ended up getting married and starting a family. Now revived and rejuvenated, she tries to focus her career on male grooming, where she has enumerated a stable celebrity client base. Some of her regulars are John Leguizamo, Willem Dafoe, Paul Giamatti, Peter Saarsgard, Cillian Murphy, and Lou Pucci.

Residing in Capistrano Beach, a quaint little beach town just south of Laguna Beach, Manuella is an avid longboard surfer and entertains her passion for ceramics. Hailing from a rather large Portuguese family and now having her son, gives her a whole new perspective on life. Living at the beach, Manuella finds herself inspired and more in tune with space, the environment, nature's flow and energy, and of course the ocean and landscapes. She compares the development of her son to the simple beauty of a plant - watching it nurture and grow brings her purpose and satisfaction. And now that Manuella got her second wind, the same goes for her career!
