Kyra Dorman's shares some wonderful tips and tricks with us to try this Holiday season!
If your attending a holiday party and going straight from the office keep these tips in mind so you will look like you just walked out of a salon!
Morning of think more moisture and less makeup; we want to keep the skin plumped and look alive for the long haul. So moisturize well and only use the basics in makeup, a very light foundation or just some concealor where needed. A little cream blush on the apples of the cheeks and only mascara, light eyeliner on the top lid, and lashes.....(avoid mascara and eyeliner on the bottom, as by the end of the day it may have smudged causing you to look tired from the long day of work)
In terms of hair, I am always a fan of wearing my hair in a low ballerina bun all day. The benefit to this is when I let it out later I have big bouncy waves!
During the day drink plenty of water and not so much coffee, as it will dehydrate your skin and make your eyes look tired. A good tip to freshen up your face is spritz your face with a water mist to give a moisterizing wakeup boost to the skin!
One of the best companies for on the go makeup is Stila, they make a convertable eyeliner that has a shimmer eyeshadow on one end and eyeliner on the other. Also using Stila's Convertable Color which is a creme blush that can be used on the lips, cheeks and eyes. Using your Stila convertable eyeshadow just on the lid and the outer corner and a bit under to give a sparkle to the eye and then line the top lid with the liner and the bottom on the inside of the eyelid. Use the convertable color on the apples of the cheeks and also on the lips; they come in several shades from peaches, pinks, to reds so choose one you like and suitable for your skin tone. Apply a new coat of mascara to the top lashes only and dust with a little powder on your forehead and nose and voila you have a fresh classic look for your holiday party, no one will have a clue you were in the office all day!
