Lorna Butler

BIO At age 9 Lorna was baking and decorating lavish cakes in the kitchen saying "I want to be a chef!" Then at age 10 she learned to sew clothes in order to escape wearing her mother's less desirable designs! A few years later, Lorna began studying makeup techniques for photography, stage, film and commercials, and she realized that this was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. Around the same time she started an after school job in a salon where she also began to develop a fascination with hair, a new dimension to being creative! At age 19, after an extensive apprenticeship and winning multiple National Hair Awards she decided it was time to open her own salon in New Zealand. After years of owning her own salon, Lorna decided to leave the green pastures of New Zealand for a new adventure in London. Once she got to London, Lorna worked at trendy salons in Soho and Ladbroke Grove, where she had the opportunity to work with clients in the music and fashion industry. Eventually, Lorna began working full time as a freelance hair and makeup artist assisting some of the top artists. After assisting she went out on her own and worked on fashion shows, high end editorials, music videos and with celebrities. After her time in London, Lorna took some time to travel and had the opportunity to work and live in Tokyo, Munich and Dubai, to name a few countries. Currently, she is based in America and looks forward to what the future has in-store.
