Growing up in the beautiful city of Naples, Luca Blandi was constantly surrounded by great Italian architecture, culture, style and, of course, hairdressers. A family tradition, Luca’s father, three sisters and older brother Oscar are all in the business! After years of developing his craft in his father's salons, Luca went on to work for the well-known Italian hairstylist Lino Russo. After continuing his training under Russo, Luca decided to take his talents overseas and began working for the prestigious Italian hairstylist Sergio Valente in New York City.
As he developed his name and reputation in the United States, Blandi was selected to work with such major hair care companies such as L'Oreal, Shiseido and Senscience before setting his residency at his brother's namesake salon. Currently, in addition to being a top stylist at the Oscar Blandi Salon, Luca is also an educator for the Oscar Blandi product line.
Beyond the salon, Luca has developed a solid reputation throughout the beauty industry for his trendy and advanced styles. His work has graced the covers of many major magazines and top designers’ fashion shows. He also has the privilege of counting Nicole Kidman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Anne Hathaway and Katie Holmes as some of his esteemed celebrity clients.
Blandi is based in New York City and works bi-coastally.

- To create a quick chic chignon put your hair in a low pony with side part. The next step is to then braid the ponytail part and secure it with an elastic; then wrap the braid around the base of pony and secure with pins. It's an easy look that can be changed by doing more braids and making it more elaborate and romantic; to make it festive use shine spray by Oscar Blandi and sprinkle some glitter strategically .
