Lauren Frenden
Artistic talent is in Lauren's blood. Her grandfather was a successful painter and photographer; her grandmother was a fashion designer; and her mother is a dancer. Lauren was naturally drawn to all of these avenues, while always excelling in fashion and beauty in particular. She loved to sketch designs in her notebook, and with magic markers added "makeup" to the faces of magazine models.
Before entering her senior year at Indiana University, Lauren was chosen for a coveted internship at The Donna Karan Company, which led her to work in fashion and beauty public relations at a Manhattan firm. On her first day of work, she found herself at a major fashion show in Bryant Park. She recognized many of the models right away and became more enamored with their makeup and hair than their clothing. She later took on opportunities assisting a makeup artist in her spare time on various photos shoots and independent films. This area of the fashion world, she discovered, was her calling.
Lauren eventually returned to her Midwestern roots and began as a makeup artist at
Chanel in Chicago. Here she honed her artistic skills and vast knowledge of many
products and brands. This experience enabled her to successfully freelance full time as a makeup artist on various photo shoots, fashion shows, and commercials. Naturally, Lauren began styling hair in addition, and she takes pride in creating a look where the makeup and hair complement each other just right. Her friendly personality and can-do attitude is one that brings a sense of ease and positivity to the set.
