Resident New Yorker Denise Markey is a connoisseur of the immaculate face. Known for her ability to create the utmost pristine and luminous of looks, Denise has spent her career mastering the art of makeup design and application. A true painter at heart, Denise found her creative calling early on in life. She had a swift and steady ascent to the pinnacle of the beauty business, where she continues to find success and inspiration. Denise started out as an apprentice to one of the most renowned artists in the business. It was not long before she became linked to legendary photographer Steven Meisel. Their professional relationship flourished, and Denise was soon shooting his Vogue covers and fashion campaigns. Her work with Steven sparked the interest of many, and soon she was the choice of leading fashion and beauty photographers including Patrick Demarchelier, Annie Leibovitz, Dominique Issermann and Richard Burbridge. Denise's beauty career soared to new heights when she was chosen as the creative director for Club Monaco cosmetics. This was the opportunity for Denise to tap into her artistic expertise, and create her ideal line of colors and formulas. Her success continued to grow and today her work can be seen in beauty and fashion campaigns ranging from Revlon, Clinique, L' Oreal, Pantene, The Gap, and Victoria's Secret. She also remains a top choice to prestigious editorials including Vogue, Bazaar, Elle, Vanity Fair and Allure. Denise is known not only for her vast range as an artist, but also by her professionalism and character. Her gracious manner contributes to a pleasant atmosphere on set and keeps her a favorite makeup artist of beauties such as Heidi Klum, Demi Moore, Karolina Kurkova, Katie Holmes and Linda Evangelista. Constantly growing and challenging her limits as an artist, Denise remains utterly inspired by her experience in the New York City fashion and beauty world.
