LA based make-up guru Elizabeth Ulloa just launched her new blog, check it out!
Elizabeth Ulloa grew up in Los Angeles with her family of Nicaraguan origin. From an early age she discovered her passion for aesthetics and knew that make-up artistry was her calling. Her style and talent quickly opened doors in major cosmetic houses, such as Laura Mercier, where she furthered her studies and began her career. It was during her performance at this prestigious brand, where she discovered her true style: less is more.
At only 19 years of age, Ulloa decided to move to New York with the idea and dream of entering the fashion world. She had the opportunity to express her creativity and talent working on editorials in InStyle and Glamour, among others. Deciding to transition into celebrity makeup, Ulloa returned to Los Angeles after several successful years in New York City. Since returning to her home town, she has had the privilege to work with top celebrities including Eva Longoria, Katherine Heigl, Mary J Blige, Helen Mirren and a world tour with Britney Spears. Ulloa has also worked in the high- end world of fashion, where she has participated in runways shows, editorial and advertising campaigns.
In addition to her work as a makeup artist, Ulloa has also expanded her repertoire to men’s grooming, where she has had the pleasure to work with actors and singers such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Justin Timberlake, and Diego Luna. In addition to her successful career in the world of fashion and entertainment, Elizabeth was nominated for an Emmy for her collaboration for makeup and hair at The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Elizabeth currently resides between New York and Los Angeles.

Hair guru Charles Baker Strahan and makeup artist Elizabeth Ulloa glammed up Brooklyn for the ESPYs tonight...get her look here:
I did a bronzy metallic eye to enhance her beautiful blue eyes and kept her skin dewey and natural with a pop of pink bronzy blush. I used a lip stain for a bitten sexy look and then did a double coat of mascara to create a fluffy lashes that are sexy and demure. Lastly, I set her overall makeup look with a makeup finishing spray to help the makeup last and stay fresh!

With Brooklyn, we started on second-day hair, which is typically better with short hair as it prevents it from looking too mature. Using hairspray, I grabbed random pieces of hair, twisted them and flat-ironed the twists. This creates a slightly rougher wave texture. I then back combed the root of the hair at the crown to give volume and pinned it back to create structure and lift around the crown of the head. Using a 1 ¼ curling iron, I created a wave with the shorter pieces around the face to give a feminine, yet tough look. I then finished off the overall look with a little bit of the hairspray!
