Helene Macaulay

As a former ballet dancer, Helene Macaulay did not set out to be a creative force in the beauty industry. However, after her dance career came to an end, she started working as a receptionist at an upscale beauty salon, which led to her burgeoning career in makeup artistry. Two years later, the Buffalo, New York native moved to Milan to work on a book and has continued to work endlessly in her new field.

Her passion and zeal for creating new looks and make-up trends stems from the fact that she absolutely enjoys her work. She remains in constant demand for editorial clients such as Vanity Fair, Allure, and In Style. Her celebrity clientele include: Mariah Carey, Susan Sarandon, Jennifer Esposito, Rosie O'Donnell. In addition, she has worked with advertising companies such as L'Oreal and Avon. Although Helene enjoys the freedom that working as a freelance artist provides, she one day dreams of developing her own make up line and establishing her name in the beauty realm.

A self-described amateur photographer, Helene is currently working on a documentary based on Latin music/dance. She enjoys salsa dancing, cooking and reading when she isn't traveling the globe on assignments.
