California-born makeup artist Marina Gravani has made a name for herself as one of the top upcoming artists in the beauty industry. Her flawless and natural approach has drawn attention of many of today’s fresh talent.
Gravani began her career working in skincare at Nordstrom before moving on to work with Laura Mercier, finding her excitement and passion for makeup. During her beginning years, Gravani had the privilege to work with and study under Ms. Mercier, where she crafted her technique of shaping the face and creating beautiful new styles. She has studied and perfected a variety of techniques from classic beauty to punk rock to winged eyeliner.
Her incredible talent has brought many of Hollywood’s young talent asking to work with Marina. Some of her clients include Heather Morris, Robin Wright, Mariah Carey, Nikki Reed, Angela Simmons, Vanessa Simmons, Taio Cruz, Dianna Agron, Lea Michele, Lloyd and Adrien Brody. Her work as appeared in Glamour, Latina, C Magazine, Venice Magazine, People, Entertainment Weekly and Cigar Aficionado.
Gravani currently resides in Los Angeles and works bi-coastally.

LA make-up artist Marina Gravani gave us some helpful ideas to try at home!
- Pick a feature to show case. If it's cheeks then use a redish pink for a windburned look. And keep the eyes and lips soft.. If it's a red lip your after, then put a couple coats of mascara and your red lips with a bronzer in place of blush so you won't compete with the color of your lips.
- To help prevent from red wine staining your teeth, use the O'le pageant trick for smiling and apply a small amount of vaseline on your teeth.
- Fill in your eyebrows with a pencil if you do not have a lot of eyebrow hair and if you have hair, use a powder. Always brush through them to soften the look afterwards.
